When it comes to choosing your real estate broker here in Marbella, there are a few important points to consider.
There is a huge choice of real estate companies here on the Costa del Sol, you want to make sure you choose one that has your best interests at heart, as well as of course a great portfolio of properties.
We would recommend that you consider:
Who are your chosen real estate agents?
Whilst becoming an estate agent is something many consider to be an overnight decision, to become a great one takes years of experience and a wealthy knowledge of the local area. Also, consider more than just the brand. A lot of agencies re-brand, it doesn’t necessarily mean they are new, it may just be that they have decided to focus on a different sector of the market, or because they wanted to try out something new. It is still possible they have a previous history in real estate in the area.
How well do they know the area in which you are looking to purchase your property?
As you begin your search, you may have a pretty definitive of what exactly you are looking for, or of a particular area or community that you would prefer, or you may have no idea at all. Chances are though, you will have specific requirements of some sort. Some clients are flexible on size of property but not on location, some are flexible in budget and some need to be close to a certain beach, school or landmark. A good real estate agent will be able to help and guide you with your search. They should know the general area, the market in the area and which communities or areas work best for your individual needs.
How responsive are your agency after an enquiry is sent?
We’re in 2022, and let’s be honest, we want everything as quickly and easily as possible. No one is in the market for filling out extensive forms, or waiting 24hours for a reply. We as an age, want things instantly, or as close to instant as humanly possible. Do your chosen agency have various means of contact? Do they email, whatsapp and telephone as well as an actual office you can visit, or are you going to need to communicate by carrier pidgeon?
